When is SUMMA?
We are planning for the 2021 session of SUMMA Debate Camp to be held in residence at Sewanee on July 20–28. If Covid-19 conditions are such that it is not safe for residential camp, we will hold virtual camp July 19-23. We will let campers and parents know of the decision by early May. Students accepted for SUMMA will be eligible to participate in either camp.
What is SUMMA? Where is it?

How much does it cost?
Tuition for 2021 camp is $1,000, which includes room, all meals and materials. Virtual camp is $300, including all materials. Upon acceptance, a $100 deposit must be made. This year only, if a student has been accepted for SUMMA, enrolled and paid the $100 deposit, and decide to not participate, the $100 will be refunded.
Are scholarships available?
Students with a demonstrated financial need may apply for a limited number of full and partial scholarships for both camps.
What does a daily schedule look like?
Each day at SUMMA begins and ends with prayer in the beautiful Chapel of the Apostles at the School of Theology. Between seminars and discussions, campers enjoy fun activities like hiking, sports, music, and arts and crafts. Virtual camp will follow much the same schedule with lectures and discussions, work in small groups, and online games and activities.
